Prisoner of War Made Eating Utensils Lot of utensils, two sets and two single pieces. Theses are more examples of decorative workmanship than practical eating utensils. First is a brace of carved fish conjoined by rings on their tails to three larger rings. The fish bodies form the handles for two sets of eating utensils - a knife, fork and spoon. One fish is missing his spoon bowl and one fork is missing a tine. Reverse of the fish are incised with the cross, anchor, and heart (Faith, Hope, and Charity), and the dates 1914-1917. The second is a cast aluminum spoon with an elaborate cypher and dates 1914-1917. The third is a stylized wooden fork and spoon with elaborately chip carved handles, the reverse of one handle is inscribed PRS. OF WAR, the other STOBBS CAMP. The final item is a small 5.5" wooden knife with 1914-18 carved on one side of the bone shaped handle. Estimate: $100 - $150
