AEF 336th Tank Battalion FG-17 Light Tank Motif Trench Art Desk Lamp. Fluted 75mm shell is nicely embossed with a 3/4 profile of a French FT-17, flanked by "336" and "T.C."  designations; 3rd Army insignia on the opposite side.  Base has "COBLENZ 1919" and a nickel finish toggle switch.  Top has a brass shade supported by a brass socket assembly that is held to the shell by friction by threaded knobs.  This is all on a nice 25cm (9-3/4") turned wood base.  The wiring is garbage and has been cut on the inside, therefore the lamp is just sitting on the base for the moment.  In the interest of encouraging the new owner to complete the (easy!) rewiring project, we include a great -and safe- period correct but modern cord from our favorite go-to antique lamp supply source.  Our pal Jason Cobb discovered this on one of his big buying sweeps, and candidly I purchased it to use on my new desk, but alas - there is no room on my desk.  (Should have seen that coming.)  So, time to pass it along to a fellow trench art enthusiast; preferably someone who also has an affinity for the AEF Tank Corps! Estimate: $200 - $400
