Southeast Asian Motif Trench Art Navy 6-Pounder Lamp. 1902 dated USN 6-Pounder shell & casing stands 54cm tall on a 34cm diameter weighted wood base.  Nickel finished projectile is fitted with three cast brass decorative arms supporting candelabra size fixtures which are covered in pasteboard faux candle covers, one of which has suffered a bit of damage and the internal porcelain component is no longer present - replaceable through antiquelampsupply.com for all of about $6.  Decorative portion of the casing has an extensive and highly detailed seaside jungle vignette with a native paddling his canoe, with an active volcano in the background.  Base has some scuffs and scratches.  No wiring, though these trench art lamps should always be rewired prior to use, regardless of how good the original material appears.  Nice mellow patina!  Easy restoration project; will look great in a trench art collection or as a daily use piece for any US militaria collector. Estimate: $300 - $400
