French & Belgian WWI Memorial Lot: Uncommon Belgian Variant & Modern Souvenirs. Includes one in the familiar terra cotta form, but displaying a Flemish Lion with "DEBOUT LES MORTS" on one side; wreathed sword with "1914-1918" on the reverse, base has unsealed fill point. Second is a small 10cm tall painted ceramic replica of one of the sacred way markers. Two others are ceramic replicas of the Moreau-Vauthier stones which mark the limit of the German advance, branded "A Major & Mrs. Holt Military Heritage Collectable" on one side. (Western Front aficionados will recognize this as the same Tonie and Valmai Holt who began their battlefield tourism business in the 1970's, and authored a number of very useful guidebooks.) The last two are candles of the Sacred Way and the Moreau-Vauthier demarcation stones, made appropriately in horizon blue wax. Estimate: $80 - $120
