Estimate: $200 - $300 Historical Background: The French Commemorative Morocco Campaign Medal (1909) was established by a law dated July 22, 1909, and was awarded to military and civilian personnel who participated in the "pacification" campaign of Morocco between 1907 and 1909, specifically the Second Franco-Moroccan War. It was awarded to soldiers who sailed for Casablanca between August 5, 1907, and June 15, 1909, or who served in occupation troops on the right bank of Oujda or in the French mission there between March 29, 1907, and January 1, 1909. Actions or service after July 22, 1912, were not considered for this medal; subsequent operations were instead recognized with the Colonial Medal. The Madagascar Commemorative Medal (Médaille commémorative de Madagascar) is a French commemorative medal issued to participants of the First Madagascar expedition in 1883 and the Second Madagascar expedition in 1894–95. This medal recognized the service of those involved in the French military campaigns on the island nation.
